The AMS WideGem Merchandisers is for vending products not in need of refrigeration. Since it doesn't need insulation, it costs less. The WideGem has a more modern look and is available in black or gray. Without the need to insulate the cabinet AMS was able to put "knock-outs" in the top and bottom of the cabinet to make it easier to get throught those troubling narrow doorways.
